Schötmar is a district of Bad Salzuflen in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia. As the geographical center of Bad Salzuflen, Schötmar is of great importance. MILESTONES IN SCHÖTMARS ON A TIMELINE

A stone bridge over the Bega enabled an expanding settlement development towards the west. At the same time, the commercial development in Schötmar developed.

Schötmar was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1231. The settlement took place at this time in the area of Kilian's Church on Schloßstraße, Begastraße and Schülerstraße.
